Q: Why didn't Piccolo use the finishing move later in the series by taking time just like he used against Raditz?
Ans: This technique works if the opponent is in a constant position and Piccolo didn't have the chance to use the same method either because his opponent was stronger or would have dodged it.
Q: How come Nappa has a power level of 5800, why not between 4000 and 5000?
Ans: If Nappa only had a power level of 4000, Piccolo, Krillin and Tien could have finished Nappa off. When Goku arrived on earth, Vegeta told Nappa that whoever was on the way has a power level of 5000. Now the main reason why Nappa gets worried is because Krillin and Piccolo scouter's reading was a a suppressed power level reading and they can rise if they want. So Nappa had no idea how much Goku could power up. Before Nappa starts to fight Goku, Goku raises his full power which shows Nappa has a power level of greater than 5000, otherwise he woudln't need to power up to the maximum. Also, Goku mentioned that he has to use his kaioken attack on Nappa otherwise it would take a long time. This means Nappa was greater than half of Goku's power level.
Q: Why couldn't Nappa finish off the Z warriors if he had a power level of 5800?
Ans: Nappa could finish off the Z warriors but every villain likes to have fun by inflicting pain to his opponents and by showing how powerful he is before his opponent dies. Also, Nappa is not much of a smart fighter which is why Krillin and Piccolo outsmarted him and managed to attack Nappa when his back was turned. There was a 3 hour break and Nappa could have easily finished all of them, after 3 hours were over, Nappa was going to kill everyone but only managed to kill Piccolo though his first target was Gohan.
Q: Why did Vegeta kill Nappa?
Ans: He killed Nappa because he lost to a third class saiyan and he asked Nappa to back off yet he went after Gohan and Krillin. He felt disgraced to have an ally who lost to a third class saiyan.
